Call for Poster Presentations

The Poster Session and Student Poster Competition will take place during the National Center for Intermodal Transportation for Economic Competitiveness (NCITEC) Annual Conference which is scheduled for October 31, 2013.

The poster session provides an excellent opportunity for faculty and students to present their ongoing transportation-related research to peers at Mississippi State University, University of Mississippi, University of Denver, Louisiana State University, Hampton University as well as to representatives from Mississippi Department of Transportation, Mississippi Development Authority, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, etc. We encourage participation through submission of posters and accompanying abstracts. The posters should be aimed at introducing your transportation-related research to engineering and scientific community as well as promoting an exchange of ideas.

Student Poster Competition

Students who submit abstracts for the poster session will be invited to participate in the poster competition. The best three posters presented by students will be recognized. The selection of the wining posters will be conducted by a panel of judges. Student participants should be prepared to give a 5 minute presentation to the panel regarding their poster and answer related questions. Details about the competition will follow.

Procedure for Submitting Abstracts and Posters

The abstract should include: poster title, keywords, name, title, and affiliated organization of all authors. The abstracts will be synthesized and organized into a book of abstracts, which will be made available to all the participants. Please bring your easel to display posters at the venue.

Please submit your abstracts to sde47@ise.msstate.edu by October 7, 2013. Abstracts will be reviewed and authors will be notified regarding acceptance by October 14, 2013.
